Welcome

Welcome to the Kent Sustainable Tourism Network - an initiative of the Kent Downs AONB Unit.

The Kent Sustainable Tourism Network (from now on, the KTSN) is an online networking and support forum created for Kent's tourism businesses.

The aim of the KSTN is twofold:

  • To help Kent's tourism businesses develop sustainable business practice

We intend for this site to become your first port of call when looking for advice and support in 'greening' and generally improving your business
  • To provide a forum for networking and discussion amongst Kent's tourism businesses

This is where you can ask for and give advice, share experiences and best practice with your fellow tourism businesses and supporting organisations

We don't intend to duplicate information that is already available to you - simply to provide the links to the many advisory services, products and resources covering every aspect of sustainability.

But we need your help too. We feel we’ve made a good start, but we need to know more about what you need to know!

So help us fill in any gaps by telling us what you need. And if you want to alert us to organisations, services and products that can help a business improve sustainable business practice that are not already featured here, do send us the details. We’ll check them out and wherever possible, add them to the KSTN!

A small NB - we have just one stipulation when it comes to using the KSTN and its forums. Advertising is a no no so we cannot allow businesses to promote themselves in such a way that it can be construed as advertising.
